You asked for them...here they are! The new Academic Initiative Community Forums.

You wanted more interaction and collaboration with other members of the Academic Initiative. The community forums allow you to get in touch by asking questions, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences. Find out what other members are doing and how they are using IBM products at their institutions.

Academic Initiative General Forum. The Academic Initiative General Forum allows you to acquaint yourself with other members, share tips and experiences, and ask questions.

iSociety. iSociety is the online home for everyone who believes in the System i philosophy of business computing. They believe that business computing should be as effortless as possible, through the reduction or elimination of complexity.

Technical Support Forum. Need help? The Technical Support Forum is a good place to post questions about software installation, software licenses, or courseware. Another Academic Initiative member may be able to share a solution. (Formal technical support requests can be submitted using the technical support form.)

The IBM Programming Contest Central Teachers Forum. This forum is specifically for teachers who wish to discuss programming competitions, share programming problems and any other computer programming or competition-related question.

The IBM Programming Contest Central Students Forum. This forum is specifically for students who wish to discuss programming competition problems, or any other computer programming-related question.

User groups

User groups are independent associations of developers which provide opportunities for people to meet face to face with others in their area. User groups are active all over the world!

Members enjoy access to special offers, event discounts, and improved knowledge of IBM products and technologies. User groups are valuable to business practitioners, academics, and students. Join a user group or start one of your own!

IBM does not actively participate in these discussions but reviews the newsgroups periodically to maintain a free flow of accurate information.
